A wonderful cruise on Lake Como is, without doubt, a great way to relax during a weekend off or a short holiday in northern Italy. Thanks to its mild climate and its beautiful landscapes, this area is the favorite destination for elite tourism for at least three centuries.

Navigation on the lake is also synonymous with sophistication, elegance and style. Stop at Bellagio for a romantic stroll through its picturesque streets and, perhaps, do some shopping in the exclusive shops.

A boat trip or a ferry trip is also a pleasant way to admire from a privileged perspective the small villages that dot the lakes shores, the ancient villas and their botanic gardens, often impossible to see from the coast. Villa Carlotta, for example, with its huge botanical garden, is a destination for visitors from around the world. Then, there are the Villa Serbelloni and Villa Melzi in Bellagio, Villa Monastero in Varenna, Villa Balbianello in Lenno, Villa Vigoni in Menaggio.

During your trip on the lake you will pass also in front of Villa Oleandra, the famous summer residence of the American actor George Clooney. If you are lucky you will see even some famous guest strolling on the terrace overlooking the lake.

The ferry is a picturesque means of transport for a pleasant day on the lake, but not the only one. If you want to free you from the transport schedules and have a little intimacy, you can easily hire a speedboat through the many private companies to hire in the area.

Few places are more romantic than Lake Como and the most beautiful Bellagio. Known as "the Pearl of the Lake", the streets of the small village offer characteristic views. In Bellagio there are hotels, classy restaurants and elegant shops where you can revel in a bit of shopping in style.

Also, Varenna is a must-see village. It is on the other branch of Lake Como, the Lecco one. Despite being less famous than Bellagio, it is still very nice and romantic.
Sightseeing in Varenna: Villa Monastero, a former residence, beautifully furnished with magnificent gardens. The walk through the park is about two kilometers, long and beautiful practically all year round.
